Sail away
The rope’s untied and the ship moves forth in the summer breeze
Far away
The memory fades of  a broken picture but your winning smile remains today

You’ve loosed your arrow to the wind
Time to put my mind at rest and my soul at ease
No turning back the clock
No turning back, so

Sail on
Somethings have to be
Cry of a gull
The glistening of the silver waves brings harmony
To know you is to be one flame

Sail Away……

And now I sing this song in the rain
Simply means that I can rise once again
No turning back the clock
No turning back the clock
Linking lives as one
Joining souls as one, so

Sail on
Somethings have to be
Cry of a gull
The whispering of the silver sands brings harmony
To know you is to be one flame
To know you is to be one flame
To know you is to be one flame

ABOUT SAIL AWAY

One of my few sad songs!  It's not that I'm never sad; I just don't get in the mood for creating music when I am!  I didn't even feel sad when I wrote this. I just felt like doing that kind of song, sat down and tried to create a kind of vibe.  I know a lot of songwriters  claim they are taken by their mood when the impulse arises to write, but I wonder how many of them have actually tried  to  decide which kind of mood they want to create i.e. the other way around.

Losing a loved one through death or separation – a partner, friend or family member, is always very painful and needs time to heal. It may help to direct our memories to the beautiful moments we had with that person. Then we can relive the happiness and be thankful for the enrichment in our lives. In this way we may feel more peaceful and centred.
